| Simple parametric changes. By using the command EDIT_DIM_TEXT ("EDIT TEXT" in the dimension menu) you can tell Accuracy Advisor the size of the dimension you want to have. For example, by changing a dimension from "20" to "25", running a dimensional accuracy analysis and then adjusting the appropriate geometry, you have changed "20" to "25" without having to use parametrics! Check of ME10 geometry before transfer to SolidDesigner In many ways it is far easier to check (and change) a 2D profile in ME10 before errors are discovered in SolidDesigner. Run a quick geometric and dimension accuaracy analysis before storing the MI file. Check layouts of SolidDesigner models for accuracy Export layouts or drawings generated in SolidDesigner to ME10. Geometric analysis is the most appropriate here. Make sure the layouts are of suitable views. Check (2D) DXF, DWG and IGES drawings If you can translate drawings from other CAD systems into MI format and preserve dimensioning, then you can check these drawings with Accuracy Advisor. Even if dimensioning isn't preserved, then a geometric analysis will give you an idea of the accuracy. Cancel Edited Dimensions During a dimensional analysis Accuracy Advisor can see if dimension texts are edited. If they are and the dimension is correct, the dimension editing is cancelled |
